The Teaching

Thanks and splendor share one root

In Hebrew, the word for thanksgiving is hodaya. It grows from the same root as Hod, the eighth Sefirah on the Tree of Life. Hod means splendor, majesty, a radiance that glows from within.

The verb lehodot holds two meanings at once. It means to thank, and it means to acknowledge. When we give thanks, we admit that something good came to us from beyond ourselves.

The sages taught that this simple acknowledgment changes the vessel that receives. A grateful heart becomes wide enough to hold more light.

In this lecture, we bring the spirit of Thanksgiving, and every tradition of giving thanks, together with this ancient wisdom. Whether you gather around a holiday table this month or simply long to live with a more grateful heart, you will leave knowing how to make gratitude a daily practice of splendor.

Ayin · Nun · Vav

One Name of God for Gratitude

The Name that turns thanks into healing

Among the 72 Names of God, Ayin-Nun-Vav carries the energy of Divine Mercy. Its three letters also spell anav, the Hebrew word for humble.

This is the secret we will open together. True gratitude flows through humility. When the ego steps aside, mercy can enter, and appreciation becomes a quiet force of healing.

You will learn how to meditate on this Name and how to carry its light into your relationships and your body.
